Ngaji Ekologi

February 2024

Pre-Activity

Analytical ecotheology is our translation for ngaji ekologi, a form of community engagement that aims to sensitize the coastal inhabitants at Muaragembong on the environmental violence of the Anthropocene and the possibility of imagining cohabitation between human and nonhuman life forms. Partnering with the Department of Environmental Engineering of ITB, this grassroot approach aims to embed the analytical framework of Identification of Environmental Impact Aspects (Identifikasi Aspek Dampak Lingkungan) during the Ramadhan month using the multimodal materials Labtek Apung has produced (water quality analysis, water desalination prototyping, and primate observation). This event will run from February to May 2024, where in the end, multiple stakeholders (public, private, and civil society actors) are invited to reflect and share their thoughts on what analytical ecotheology can do and what would be its future outlook.
